IPure for the majestic Treasury Building, Hong Kong
Here we are in Hong Kong, the ultimate cosmopolitan city, characterised by the harmony of breathtaking skyscrapers and unspoilt nature.
Here the metropolis mingles with tradition; constructions are futuristic and one example is the Treasury Building in Cheung Sha Wan, an area where public and government buildings reign supreme.
The Treasury Building features two majestic twin towers, home to the Hong Kong Ministry for the Treasury. This cutting edge building has been fitted out with Videx for the integrated video intercom system.
The complex project includes integration on a fibre and copper networking infrastructure, interfacing with third party VoIP and TVCC systems, 210 call stations and 79 internal video stations.
A limitless, open and integrable system was an essential condition for the creation of such a complex installation and the choice inevitably fell on IPure, the first Italian-made and fully interoperable video intercom system.
IPure supports the most commonly used protocols for the interconnection of different devices. In the case of the Treasury Building, the SIP protocol was crucial for interfacing with VoIP telephone switchboards and the RTSP protocol for integration with the video surveillance system, both third-party.
With IPure we developed a highly complex and ambitious system, for which the certainty of excellent operation and cutting edge performance were essential requirements, especially given the building’s importance and official purpose.
Unlike systems that claim to be IP and which limit integration, IPure was the determining element for satisfying the extremely demanding installation criteria that distinguish the Treasury Building.
The result is nothing short of excellent: a successful project that delivers unbeatable performance and reliability.
