Preliminary Information - NEW 4000 SERIES ACCESS CONTROL MODUles

The new 4000 Series is undergoing continuous enhancement and improvement to the range of modules available. This will allow even greater flexibility to the specifier, installer and end user. Within the next few months, two new modules will be available. A fingerprint reader (tob left) and new proximity reader (bottom right) will be added to the ever expanding range of modules. Both units will be available in either stand-alone version (for smaller installations) or can be connected in series (with optional PC) for multiple door applications using a serial bus.

NEW 4000 SERIES Digiphone Kit

Videx keep up the audio/video kit tradition by introducing the new DIGIPHONE KIT DK4K. The kit is based on the new 4000 Series outdoor stations. In addition to facilities available on standard audio door entry systems, the DIGIPHONE Kit incorporates the added facility to open the door from outside by entering a secret code on the digital codelock contained within the kit. The digital codelock included, has three programmable codes and 3 relays (1 code for each relay), the 3 relays can be connected to activate a variety of services which include operating a door release, operating a gate or switching on lights etc.

The Kit Includes:

  • 1 4000 Series Flush or surface mounting unit, comprising 1 speaker module and 1 codelock module.

  • 1 3000 Series Smart Line Intercom.

  • 1 Power Supply.

The system is based on "3+1" and requires only 4 wires from the outdoor station to the intercom, 2 wires for the electric lock and 2 wires for the power supply.

The kit is available for flush or surface installation, with front panels manufactured in stainless steel (standard finish) or anodized aluminium. The module support frame is supplied in gun metal grey (standard finish) with options for silver chromium plating or gold chromium plating.

For those not familiar with Videx and there Kit range. All kits are supplied with the minimum parts required to complete an installation. This does not include electric strikes or cable which are site sensitive.

Videx produce a wide range of audio/video door entry kits which will satisfy all market requirements.

DECT KIT

This kit allows the conversion of a standard VIDEX "4+1" one button audio door entry system to a wireless audio door entry system.

It is very useful when you have to install an audio door entry system but the wiring is not allowed (old buildings etc.).

The Art.460 kit incorporates 2 DECT TRANSCEIVER Interfaces (Art.461) that provide a wireless audio link between an external door station and an internal telephone. The unit operates on DECT technology (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) and allows a maximum distance of 100 meters between the door station and the internal telephone (open air). However obstacles such as walls will reduce the range and we suggest not attempting more than 30 meters in these circumstances.

The two DECT interfaces provided are identical: the one linked to the telephone must be programmed using the dip switches as internal while the one linked to the door station ("4+1") must be programmed as external. The two DECT units, in addition to door open service, allow the activation of a remote service in both directions (outside to inside and vice versa). Total privacy of a conversation between the door station and telephone handset is ensured as the individual units are coded to match each other. To one external unit can be registered up to 6 internal units (all activated at the same time by the call).

Preliminary Information - New HANDS FREE VIDEOPHONE

VIDEX have developed a new hands free videophone. The product is in the final stages of development and will have the following features:

  • 4” TFT colour monitor;

  • 6 push buttons;

    • “Door-open”;

    • “Camera-recall”;

    • “Privacy” (timed or switched)

    • “ON/OFF” latch relay;

    • 2 service push buttons for generic purpose;

  • 8 small push buttons for 4 adjustment;

    • Speech line volume;

    • Call tone volume;

    • Contrast;

    • Brightness;

The videophone will be available in flush or surface mount versions and the surface version will have the option of a handset.

Special program for the Windows environment to manage the “VproX-1000” and the VproX-4000 controller units via a PC. The program incorporates user friendly menus with on line “help”. When a database is created it is possible to associate the “user name” to each key stored in the memory and to have access to all configuration parameters.

The software allows for the deletion or addition of keys and operates many other useful functions. It is also possible to download from the “VproX system the “event report” memory and to list its contents by name, key number or chronological date. If the PC program remains connected “on line”, the screen will show the data of the last 5 entries with the photo ID of last user.

The program is supplied on CD-ROM with a RS232 cable.
